I had hoped for Biden to move into the White House in January, and the Senate to remain in Republican hands, and it seems that’s just what is about to happen. I predict the Georgia run-off election will bring a Republican victory, as many Georgians who voted for Biden will nevertheless vote for Republican senators in order to maintain the balance of power, making sure the pendulum of power doesn’t swing too far to the left.
Voters understand not to hand out too much power to one political party/ideology. …

The recent Ukraine scandal included a phone call between President Trump and President Zelensky of Ukraine, and evolved into the historic impeachment of Trump in the House of Representatives. It has actually benefited Ukraine in ways which no analyst could have forecasted.
In my previous piece “How to kick out Nazis from the Government”, which was published on July 12th, I criticized the democrats for being spineless and not holding the executive branch accountable for abuse of power and obstruction of justice with regards to the Mueller investigation.
The notorious phone conversation between Trump and Zelensky, which…
What America can learn from a younger democracy
The United States and Austria have found themselves in similar political situations, both experiencing a constitutional and political crisis. Compared to Austria, the United States is a new country, but it has over hundred years more democratic experience. Austria was a royal empire for most of its existence, becoming a parliamentary republic only in 1918. However, the United States congress can learn a lot from the younger and smaller democracy.
In the political turmoil that has entangled both countries, in America, the president is the pariah while in Austria it was the…
The former White House strategist has been making headlines recently in Europe. He is on a crusade to help elevate the populist anti EU political parties into the mainstream. The outspoken anti globalist is on a global mission to create a conservative alt right transatlantic alliance of the US and Europe, and then align it with an already nationalist conservative Russia, in standing up to China.
Besides the fact that we shouldn’t align with Russia because it is not a democracy and not a rule of law country that respects human rights, they are to no value in the economic…
Egypt’s iconic and towering leaders in the past have stood out from other Arab countries. President Nasser revived Arab pride and nationalism, and Anwar Sadat was the first leader of a muslim Arab country(followed by Jordan) to make peace with Israel and bring an end to military conflict between the two states.
Egypt has a unique importance not only to the United States, but also to Europe and China. …

I woke up on the 24th of June and the first thing I grabbed was my iPhone, with a confident feeling I would see the breaking news notification that the Remain vote had prevailed. To my surprise, and surely to the surprise of millions, the Leave campaign had narrowly won. Around 37% of eligible voters had chosen to leave, shattering the future of the other (mostly younger) 34.5% who will actually live on to witness the consequences, while around 28% didn’t show up to vote.
While in the United States such a significant…

Vladimir Putin’s recent approval rating was well over 80% according to a poll that contacted Russian households over the phone. A considerable doubt shadows this result as the average Russian citizen is well aware of possible implications involved in expressing criticism against Putin to a complete stranger over the phone, and the recent murder of opposition figure Boris Nemtsov hasn’t eased such fears. However, it is not too far fetched to claim around 60–70% of Russians support Putin and his aggression in neighboring Ukraine, which they wrongly perceive as a heroic standoff with the West.

The Russian Federation was falsely perceived as a partner to the United States and NATO after the fall of the Iron Curtain and any illusions of this notion should have been vaporized in 2008 when the Russian army attacked NATO candidate Georgia. This kind of Russian aggression expanded later into Ukraine in 2014 when Ukrainians chose to embrace the West rather than remain in the Russian orbit. Yet the real declaration of war on the U.S. was the direct hacking of U.S. institutions by the Russian government’s cyber agencies. That is when the war between U.S. …
Throughout modern history, political leaders in democratic societies rarely rise based on their own belief or ideology. They assess and understand the sentiments, frustrations, and hopes of the electorate and try to capitalize on them. They seize opportunity rather than create it. It is always easier to simply jump on board with what the people want, rather than try to convince them into something new that needs explaining. Donald Trump understood this and reflected it with a grain of controversy.
Trump’s formula for reaching the White House basically consisted of two parts.

Few nights ago the North Korean news agency issued a stern and shocking array of threats and insults at the United States and specifically at the island of Guam. America’s Commander in Chief warned Kim Jung any action or provocation against the US or its allies would result in war.
While this kind of behavior is expected of rogue states, the international community agrees North Korea is going too far and unanimously condemns the nuclear warhead developments and tests.
North Korea has proclaimed it will conduct this provocation by mid-August, and if they do, President Trump will most likely order…
